Darque Wines believes that great wines inspire friendship and should be embraced with open arms; wine is meant to be fun after all! Led by first generation winegrower Steve Dark, we focus on hand-crafting small lots of expressive Oregon wines that stylistically emphasize depth, mouthfeel, balance, and approachability. Our winemakers journey began as a hobbyist in 2015; a passion that ultimately led to our first commercial vintage being produced in 2018. We are eternally grateful for our close friends and mentors, a lot of whom have been by our side since the beginning of this journey, and are privileged to produce our wines working alongside the veteran team at Sass Winery.
It’s said that great wines begin in the vineyard. We approach managing our approximately 6 acre vineyards (a mix of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Gamay Noir) by hand using careful canopy management and sustainable growing practices. We also source fruit from several vineyards in growing regions scattered across Oregon that choose to follow the same meticulous hand-tended philosophies.
